Description

A monster lurks here. Human in facial features but an abyss black spider body, amoral and evil, Asi has a soul as empty as the dark she surrounds herself in.

A second emergency commission that I've owed :iconpenndreadful:

But there was a lot of fuckery with this one, given the challenge: She's like a drider, but no arms. To his credit, he gave be full artistic license.

Our conversation went like this:
So A human head, maybe a torso and just spider everything else?
"
Yep.:
fuck you.

There are A LOT of scraps of this. And finally I just started playing with light, until I got...Somewhere. It certainly has a excellent creep vibe. I dont think anyone would want to be apart of this universe. It looks like you've caught her in the middle of feeding.

You had better get out of here.

Jerry Lewis impression: Mm-nahoy! That's good horror!

I know this one drove you nuts to complete, so my thanks for following through. (In the future, I'll keep my comms more humanoid, hee hee.) I get a Shelob meets Bram Stoker's Dracula vibe from this, it's pretty cool. Perhaps even an atmospheric touch of the Uzumaki universe, which was inspiration for Asi. I see what you meant by an evolved monster concept, because she's fucking terrifying here! Those teeth, sweet jebus. Also, props for including a victim in this. I find giving you some leeway on artistic license results in solid dividends.

I'm digging the depth of lighting too, now that I study it further. One really can't tell where she completely begins and ends and that sense of the unknown and undefined with a hint of what is apparent is a good recipe for horror imagery. There is nothing so unsettling as what can't be easily understood. My thanks for toughing this one out, J.
