Description

...Before she could respond, the Princess spit out the drink. It tasted awful! The teacup fell from her hands and clattered to the carpet. What tea tasted so…mineral-like? Wiping the residue from her lips with the back of her hand, she looked at the mess on her skin. It was bright red. Blood.

Shaking at the sight, Jacqueline looked down at herself, the mess having streaked the front of her dress. Trying to formulate a sentence, but it was useless; she was only producing gibberish, overcome with shock.

I found this sketch, then colored it. Perhaps, one of my favorite images from the story! Read it! It's about to end!
The Princess and The Pirate prt 1.I

Roqueburne was a kingdom on the west coast. A forest behind it, an ocean in front, really, it was a self sufficient place that rarely required any real attention from the empire it was apart of. Now. But, it wasn't always so.

Bustling enterprise doesn't just happen. The King and Queen of Roquburne were implanted here by the empire ages ago. Only by years of blood, steel and iron, did their kingdom become a great shining gem by the sea. The people became educated and were prosperous. Crippling plagues were forced from the city, winter after winter, fewer died. Each spring, a budding culture renaissance came closer, and closer. A proud, ci

This reminds this crab well of the nightmares that followed after playing American McGee's Alice way back when, oh the blood never gets washed from your claws. o0o

Anycase very twisted idea in a sense like Alice in Wonderland from the soft and fluffy feel of the environment and even the garments into the sickly gory feel of red being splashed upon that Sistine white so to say (yes do well see that her green be a green shade, lol).

Never been that much of a horror buff but like some nightmares you experience its always the same where you have that remote feeling of calmness and the shock and horror that suddenly catches you off guard, which you feel really well with this image here kid.

Like best how well you tie the reaction of hers into everything and even more a step you take with not just dropping the tea cup of blood but having it right in the viewers face just to show its level of disturbing and reason why she's as shocked as you ought to be, bravo.

You do seem to love the princess attire to say the least and heck she seem rather gorgeous with the many colors and even the way you fluff up the ends of some the fabric to really show that divine and Disney princess feel to everything.

Additionally like how well you use alot of your darker shades of red here to colorize everything. From the blood splattered background to even the way there's the trace of blood that drips down the mouth and even along the chest is a very nice touch.

Superb work indeed TheLadyJ, and don't forget to add one lump or two! ^o^
