:winner: I GOT SECOND PLACE. THANKS FOR EVERYONES VOTES :winner:

As the Goddess of Crusades, people offer up their weapons, spoils and heaps of plenty for a successful campaign. They hope for war, to finally get a chance at peace.

I did this for :iconoc-challenge:Contest, 'gods and goddess' Where you take your OC and convert them into a deity of some type. I was captivated by the idea! I totally wanted to participate! (Journal link here: fav.me/d61feme ) So, I elaborated on Princess's Jacqueline's 'virgin saint of war' idea. I kept the severed head motif, as a goddess of crusades surely can't be whole also, crusades and martyrdom, seems pretty hand in hand. (if you've read the story, the martyr thing makes more sense.)

I added two swords, rather than just one...making one more 'good' looking and the other one more 'evil', because regardless of the decision to fight for whatever means, can still get you killed. Good guys die all the time, even with the best of intentions.

I added the stars in her hair to give her a more celestial, goddess look. I also had her eyes opened, to give off that more alive feel. Kept the crown, because she's royalty. And she's beheaded, because it's dramatic, powerful imagery. And she's pretty, because who doesn't like a pretty deity? The boarder has flowers for peace and prosperity while the other has skulls and broken spears, signifying the casualties of war.

And the boarder is messy because well, war is never clean. Wish me luck! (Also, I just finished my Princess and the Pirate story! Finale I & II is up! Read the exciting conclusion of princess's Jacqueline's adventure!)

(disclaimer: Not nearly as violent as it seems, red contrasts white so well, much better than just using stupid grey)

Rocqueburne was a kingdom on the west coast. A forest behind it, an ocean in front, really, it was a self sufficient place that rarely required any real attention from the Empire it was apart of. Now. But, it wasn't always so.

Bustling enterprise doesn't just happen. The King and Queen of Rocqueburne were implanted here by the Empire ages ago. Back when the town was held together by sticks, crime and even a whole different name, Capebluff. It was only by years of blood, steel and iron, did their kingdom become a great shining gem by the sea. The people became educated and were more prosperous for it. Crippling plagues were forced from th
